Installation Expectations

We have tried to make the installation process as simple and realistic for you as possible!

Our number one goal is to eliminate any surprises. Your expectations need to be established during the sales process and not adjusted after the installation. The installation details listed below are the most important particulars of any job site, but are not limited to these.

Dust, Dirt and Odor:
Prepare to ventilate the house because installations may cause dust, dirt or odors to circulate throughout your home from flooring materials, adhesives or carpet seam tape.

Painting and Staining:
All painting and staining should be completed two weeks prior to flooring installations. Bob & Pete’s Floors associates will be extra careful not to scratch or scuff your baseboards, but because of the tools required for installation, touch ups should be expected.

Seams:
Please be aware that not all flooring will be put together with invisible seams. Visibility is based upon material texture, color and lighting of the room. You will be advised about the visibility of seams as you select your product and time of measurement.

Door Trimming:
Bob & Pete’s Floors does not provide services for trimming existing doors, but can recommend a professional carpet for this service.

Plumbing:
Unforeseen plumbing situations may cause delays or extra cost in your project. We will check for any problems with toilets, shut off valves, etc. during the measurement process.

Computers and Electronics:
Bob & Pete’s Floors is not responsible for disconnecting or moving any home electronics. Please make proper accommodations to have these removed before installation.

Handling Your Concerns:
Please advise us immediately with any concerns you may have regarding the sales process, material, installation or follow-up. We take care of your concerns before they become problems!
